The little, peaceful Minervois village of Cassagnoles is to be found where the mediterranean "Garrigue" region with its beautiful vineyards changes to wide oak- and chestnut woods. Here is where our ancient but renovated house «Grandil» is located. It has 80m˛, three rooms on three stories, a large living and dining space with a fully equipped kitchen. As the house is used by ourselves on weekends and holidays, it is furnished tastefully and cosily. The sunny garden with a grill and a small swimming pool offers a nice view of the sunsets over the wooded hills of the «Montagne Noire». In front of the door step you may enjoy the tranquility of nature in the mild mediterranean climate, you may undertake beautiful walks and extensive cycling tours. The idyllic and interesting surroundings are inviting you to excursions and sightseeing, for example the historical villages Minerve, Caunes Minervois and Saint-Pons-de-Thomičres, the Canal du Midi or the vine cellars of the Minervois. The castle of Carcasonne and the beaches of the Mediterranean close to Narbonne are approachable within less than an hour by car. And on the way, if the weather permits it, you will be rewarded with the most breath-taking views of the fascinating mountain chain of the Pyrenees.
